Current health of the PB Performance racing machine!

May 25th, 2007

Manchester seems a long way to go just to ‘check up’ on the build progress of my car but it was well worth the trip!

I have given XRT Power (www.xrtpower.com) the go ahead to completely strip and rebuild, not only the engine (as orginally planned) but the entire car!!! What the hell I thought, lets go for it! When I arrived at the impressive XRT Power premises I was amazed at the amount of progress that had been made in a short space of time, indeed I was confronted by a mass of components that once made up my Van Diemen RF87.

During a lengthy and interesting discussion with XRT supremo Andrew Xavier it was explained to me exactly what is going to be done to improve the car and engine package! Believe me I am very happy with the improvements that have been promised, soo much so that I am now itching with anticipation and can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of what will hopefully be a peach of a car. I have been assured that the car will be ready within the next couple of weeks and to this extent the entry is already in for the next round of the Castle Combe FF1600 championship in June 23rd! Bring it on!

Pictures of the build progress can be found in the ’PHOTOS’ section of the website.

Keep tuned as there is soon to be an exciting anouncement to be made concerning the PB Performance team’s plans for the rest of the season!…

Exciting, breaking news!!!

May 9th, 2007

Team PB Performance will now be forced to miss the next round of the Castle Combe FF1600 championship as well. The reason for this being that the car is currently being treated to a number of “improvements” by XRT Race Engineering whilst it’s engine rebuild is being completed. The car is not due back for another three weeks so due to this it has been decided to miss the next round and come back to the championship fighting fit on Saturday June 23rd with hopefully a much improved package!

Keep your eyes peeled to the website during this enforced lay off as there will be regular updates on the car’s progress.
